New Ship to Ship Transfer Guide Published – STS Operations Plans Development Affected
On November 2013, CDI, ICS, OCIMF and SIGTTO jointly published the new “Ship to Ship Transfer Guide for Petroleum, Chemicals and Liquefied Gases”, First Edition, which supersedes the Fourth Edition of the “Ship to Ship Transfer Guide (Petroleum)” published in 2005, the Second Edition of the “Ship to Ship Transfer Guide (Liquefied Gases)” published in 1995, and the “LNG Ship to Ship Transfer Guidelines” published in 2011. Owners of oil tankers above 150 GT engaged in STS transfer operations are strongly recommended to update their STS Operations Plan in accordance with the latest Guide as soon as possible. This applies especially to tankers chartered under Oil Majors.
