MARPOL Annex VI – Stricter limitations on Sulphur Emissions (SOx) in Emission Control Areas (ECAs) entering into force on 1 January 2015
According to MARPOL ANNEX VI, Regulation 14.4.3 while ships are operating within an Emission Control Area (ECA), the sulphur content of fuel oil used onboard (including M/E and A/Es) shall not exceed 0.10% m/m on and after 1 January 2015.
