Riyadh MoU on Port State Control – Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Crew Familiarization for Enclosed Space Entry
The Riyadh MoU on Port State Control (PSC) have announced a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) applicable to all ships on “Crew Familiarization for Enclosed Space Entry”, which will take place from 1st of September to 30th of November 2017. The purpose of this CIC is to ensure effective procedures and measures are in place to safeguard seafarers on board ships when entering and working in enclosed spaces and to check compliance with the applicable requirements of the SOLAS Convention.
Based on our extensive experience in this field, we have prepared a Circular Letter with explanations / useful information regarding each of the questions of the relevant PSC questionnaire for guidance of crews.
