EU MRV & IMO DCS: New SEEMP Requirements, Roadmap and Related Aspects
AMC’s Maritime Training Center is offering on 21 March 2018, a one-day course on EU MRV & IMO DCS.
Following the implementation of the EU MRV Regulation and as an intermediate measure to curb CO2 emissions from shipping, IMO has adopted MARPOL Annex VI amendments making the Fuel Consumption Data Collection System (DCS) mandatory for all ships above 5000 GT. This new Regulation entered into force on 1 March 2018 and requires the Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) to be updated and submitted to Flag (or RO) not later than 31 December 2018.
AMC has prepared more than 2000 SEEMPs based on the 2012 SEEMP Guidelines and more than 1000 Monitoring Plans in accordance with the EU MRV Regulation.
Due to our participation in a wide range of services related to ship energy efficiency, the contents of the training will be based on actual case studies and examples, aiming to describe in a realistic manner the practical problems onboard and their subsequent solutions.
