Alpha Marine Consulting P.C. and ERMA FIRST ESK Engineering Solutions S.A. are delighted to report the successful completion of yet another complex project involving the design and installation of the ERMA FIRST FIT BWTS 1×3000-EX system, complemented by an APT module. This achievement underscores the importance of AMC’s meticulous 3D scanning, engineering, and supervision services and ERMA FIRST’S accumulated experience, applied to the first-ever deckhouse installation of its kind onboard a 70,500 DWT Product Oil Tanker.

This publication sheds light on the challenges faced during this retrofit project, particularly in selecting an appropriate location for the deckhouse and developing maintenance strategies for the newly installed pump and filter housed within it. The location was meticulously selected after rigorous economic analysis, ensuring optimal functionality and cost-effectiveness, while navigating the complex distinctions of electrical installations.
