Successful Installation of Cargo Stern Line on 35,000 DWT Chemical Product Tanker!

Alpha Marine Consulting is delighted to announce the successful conclusion of yet another retrofit project aimed at installing a cargo stern line on a 35,000 DWT chemical product tanker,

marking a significant milestone in our portfolio expansion. The primary objective of this work was to mitigate the challenges posed by varying restrictions at different terminals and augment the flexibility of cargo handling operations for the ship owner.

The project commenced with a 3D scanning survey conducted onboard to precisely document the vessel’s as-built condition and arrangement. Subsequent to this, a thorough 3D design, construction drawings, Finite Element Analysis, and bill of materials for spools, valves, fittings, pipe supports, and outfittings were methodically developed. Noteworthy is the efficiency with which this study was concluded, within a mere two weeks, synchronized with the vessel’s drydock schedule. Throughout the engineering study, strict adherence was maintained to pertinent regulations and guidelines governing cargo stern line installations,
