Alpha Marine Consulting Contributes to the Dialogue on Europe’s Green Maritime Transition at Posidonia 2026!

Alpha Marine Consulting is pleased to announce its successful participation in the SEASTARS & FLEETfor55 EU Panel Discussion, held during Posidonia 2026.

Representing the Technical & Engineering Department, @George Kouris, R&D Manager atAMC, contributed valuable insights on emerging retrofit solutions, ongoing research developments, and the collaborative initiatives driving the transition towards sustainable shipping.

Commenting on the significance of these initiatives, @George Kouris stated: “The SEASTARS project demonstrates how collaborative innovation can accelerate the maritime industry’s transition to sustainability. The path towards decarbonization requires ambitious initiatives such as SEASTARS and FLEETfor55, which bring together industry, academia, and technology providers to develop practical and scalable design solutions. However, this transition must always be pursued without compromising the high operation and safety standards that define the maritime sector. At Alpha Marine Consulting, we believe that innovation, sustainability, operation and safety must advance hand in hand to ensure a strong and future-ready shipping industry.”

AMC is also honored to have been represented on this distinguished panel. The discussion provided an excellent platform for strengthening collaborations and exchanging ideas with industry leaders, researchers, and stakeholders who share a common vision for a more sustainable and environmentally responsible maritime sector. A special thank you to our moderator, Vassilios Demetriades from HEMEXPO – Hellenic Marine Equipment Manufacturers & Exporters,
for expertly guiding this insightful and engaging discussion.

We look forward to continuing our contribution to innovative solutions that support the decarbonization and sustainability of the maritime industry.
