Alpha Marine Consulting at the SEASTARS MBSE Workshop in Amsterdam

Productive days in Amsterdam for Alpha Marine Consulting as we participated in the SEASTARS partners’ hands-on MBSE & Capella workshop, alongside MARIN, the University of Strathclyde, Aurelia, DGtWIN, and Durham University.

Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is transforming how the maritime sector designs vessels. Instead of static documents, we build connected models that allow us to test, validate and optimize decarbonization solutions before they reach the shipyard.

Through the SEASTARS initiative, MBSE will support Alpha Marine Consulting in developing the architectures for four retrofit vessel designs and in creating a modular Digital Twin Library to guide low-risk investment decisions for shipowners.

This represents a significant step forward: aligned processes, a shared architectural vision, and a design phase ready for launch.
