Paris and Tokyo MoU on Port State Control – Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Safety of Navigation

The Paris and Tokyo MoUs on Port State Control (PSC) have announced a simultaneous Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) applicable to all ships on Safety of Navigation, which will take place from 1 September to 30 November 2017. The purpose of this CIC is to check compliance with SOLAS requirements, the overall status of the vessel’s navigation safety and the competency of crew involved in navigation operations.

Based on our extensive experience in this field, we have prepared a Circular Letter with explanations / useful information regarding each of the questions of the relevant PSC questionnaire for guidance of crews, together with additional proposals to avoid navigational safety-related detentions.
