Design News Alert: EGCS Design and Retrofit was Successfully Implemented On Yet Another 181,000 DWT Bulk Carrier!

Alpha Marine Consulting is thrilled to announce the successful completion of yet another retrofit project. Our team takes immense pride in delivering the first turnkey Exhaust Gas Cleaning System (EGCS) project of 2024, and fifth in a row for similar vessel size and same Client. This milestone signifies the design and installation of a new EGCS casing onboard a 181,000 DWT Bulk Carrier, featuring a complex funnel.

AMC design team ensured that the vessel’s efficiency remained intact, preserving current arrangements and operation continuity while complying with Maker’s design restrictions. Moreover, our on-site team executed the installation process in strict adherence to the approved design and production drawings and good marine practice. This successful project underscores our unwavering commitment for providing cost-effective design solutions to our clients and contributing to a more responsible environmentally-friendly industry.
